Here
is my Professional Development Plan:
PERSONAL
MISSION STATEMENT
(Constructed
at www.franklincovey.com/customer/missionform.html)
To
find happiness, fulfillment, and value in living I will:
·
LEAD
a life centered on the principles of empowerment, excellence, fairness, and
service.
·
REMEMBER
what's important in life is financial security, lifestyle, family, free time,
and happiness.
·
REVERE
admirable characteristics in others, such as being compassionate, enthusiastic,
committed, courageous, fun, and educated, and attempt to implement similar
characteristics in my own life.
·
RECOGNIZE
my strengths and develop talents as a person who is adaptable, a communicator,
generous, entertaining, energetic, and imaginative.
·
HUMBLE
myself by acknowledging that I can be procrastinator, unmotivated, and
pessimistic and by constantly striving to transform my weaknesses into
strengths.
·
ENVISION
myself becoming a person who:
Ernie
thinks is ambitious, well educated, and loyal.
Barbara
thinks is responsible, and creative.
Djuna
thinks is fun, self-reliant, and dynamic.
Jean
thinks is caring, compassionate, and
respectful.
FIVE
YEARS FROM TODAY
Five
years from today I expect to have developed my teaching ability using the skills
and knowledge I have obtained at California State University.
In particular, I expect to have incorporated new developments in computer
based communication technology into my curriculum.
WHAT
NEEDS TO BE DONE
I
need to complete the course work requirements for my Designated Subjects
Teaching Credential. I expect to do that within six months. After that I intend
to enter the Master of Vocational Education (MVE) Degree Program at California
State University, San Bernardino. I expect to complete that program within one
and one half years of the time I start. I also plan on keeping my computer
skills up to date. In order to facilitate this I intend to upgrade my hardware
and software as newer and better technology becomes available.
